OpenStreetMap is, by its very nature, a community-driven and open-source project. Our goal is to extend this core philosophy of openness and collaboration to our global community, which relies on our open geospatial data as a vital source of knowledge.

Guided by the principles of "A Map for All," "Reliability," and "Consistency," we work with contributors from all backgrounds to ensure that anyone (regardless of skills, language, or resources) can use, contribute to, and benefit from the map. Through Atlas, we put these values into practice with tested, documented, and adaptable standards, prioritizing accessibility and coherence across every experience.

We are in a state of continuous evolution, open to feedback and change. That’s why we invite you to collaborate, propose ideas, or discuss our work always aligned with our Principles and the OSM Code of Conduct. Together, we strengthen this shared resource for humanity.
